LPDP Priority Scholarship – UNSW Doctoral Program in 2024

One of the prestigious doctoral program scholarships that you should not miss in 2024 is the LPDP-University of New South Wales (UNSW Australia) Priority Scholarship. This scholarship provides prospective students with the opportunity to register for two programs at once, namely the LPDP-UNSW Partnership Scholarship for the Doctoral Program as well as one of the LPDP scholarship programs (Affirmation Scholarship/Targeted Scholarship/General Scholarship for overseas destinations).

Fullbright Doctoral Degree (PhD) Scholarship

This scholarship is provided by the United States Government to international students to study Doctoral or PhD studies at various prestigious universities in that country. This scholarship can be used for most studies or research topics, ranging from the fields of humanities, arts, social sciences, science, technology, engineering to mathematics (STEM). However, this scholarship cannot cover research or education in the field of medicine that is in the realm of patient care or patient clinical contact.

This scholarship is aimed at applicants who plan to teach at universities in Indonesia and those who have never received a Fulbright scholarship before. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Have a minimum TOEFL ITP score of 575, or TOEFL iBT score of 90, or IELTS score of 7.0, or Duolingo score of 120
  • Have the intention to take up, or return to, an academic position after completing the degree
  • Is an Indonesian citizen and not a permanent resident of the United States, or currently living in the United States
  • Have leadership qualities and experience in community service
  • Have proven preparation and commitment in the chosen field of study
  • Proficient in English
  • Outstanding academic record
  • Demonstrate that they can successfully complete full-time graduate studies or conduct research in the United States
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to returning to Indonesia after completing the Fulbright scholarship program
  • Submission Requirements (in English)

The deadline for submitting application materials for this program is February 15, 2024.

Gates Cambridge Scholarship

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship 2024-2025 is an exciting opportunity for prospective international students who wish to pursue a master’s or doctoral degree. For 2024, Gates Cambridge will award 80 full-fee scholarships to candidates from outside the UK to undertake a full-time postgraduate degree in a range of topics available at the University of Cambridge. About two-thirds of these scholarships will be awarded to doctoral students, with approximately 25 scholarships available for US students and 55 international students from other countries.

 

Costs covered:

 

  • Living allowance for one student (£18,744 for 12 months at 2022-23 rates; pro rata for programs of less than 12 months) – for doctoral students, this scholarship is valid for up to 4 years
  • One economy plane ticket for arrival and return
  • Entry visa fees and Immigration Health fees
  • Academic development fund – from £500 to £2,000, depending on the length of the programme, to attend conferences and courses
  • Family allowance – up to £10,944 for one child and up to £15,612 for two or more children (2022-23 rates). There is no funding for couples.
  • Field research – You can apply to continue receiving your normal living allowance during field research as part of a doctoral program (the Trust does not fund other field research costs as these should be funded by the University Composition Fee).
  • Emergency fund – for unforeseen difficulties faced by scholarship recipients.

  • For US Residents: Wednesday, October 11, 2023 (12:00 p.m., US local time zone)
  • For International Students: Depending on your course – either 5 December 2023 or 4 January 2024 (see Course Directory)

Knight-Hennessy Scholars (Stanford University Scholarship)

 

Through the Knight-Hennessy Scholars scholarship program, Stanford University provides international students with the opportunity to pursue master’s or doctoral degrees in various disciplines at the University of Stanford. This program is fully funded, which includes the following cost components:

  • Travel allowance intended to cover economy class airfare for one annual trip to and from Stanford.
  • Stipend for living and academic expenses (such as housing, food, books, academic supplies, teaching materials, local transportation, and reasonable personal expenses).
  • Scholarships are applied directly to cover tuition costs (according to standard departmental rates).

Condition:

  • English
  • Country: Open to all countries in the world
  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree received after 2015; enroll a maximum of 4 years after the first degree
  • Criteria: Have a sharp mind, enthusiastic about seeking new experiences, creative, able to overcome difficult situations, and have different views.
  • Application Process: Includes standard tests such as GMAT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, and English language proficiency tests.
  • Traits: Ambitious, ready to take risks, resilient in the face of difficulties, humble, inclusive, caring for others, and fluent in English.
  • English Score: TOEFL minimum 100 iBT or 600 PBT, also accepts IELTS and PTE.
  • Admission: In addition to registering as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar, must apply to and be accepted into a full-time graduate program at Stanford, with no quotas based on discipline or program. Priority is given to those studying at least two years at Stanford.

Robert S. McNamara 2024-2025 ( Fellowship )

Interested in taking a fellowship program ? This 2024-2025 Robert S. McNamara Scholarship could be your choice. This scholarship provides full scholarship opportunities for international students who wish to undertake a fellowship at PhD level. The program provides up to $42,750 net per fellow fellow for an 8-month fellowship period. Here you will conduct research under the supervision of a study consultant at a partner organization abroad for 6-10 months.

Scholarship coverage:

  • Total $42,750 net per fellow for an 8-month fellowship (paid monthly).
  • Assistance from World Bank Human Resources for visa applications, but does not include visa application fees, travel costs, or other costs for bringing or supporting family members of scholarship recipients.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Eligible countries: Citizens of World Bank WBG member countries, with preference for citizens of developing countries.
  • Graduate of the MA program or currently pursuing PhD studies in Economics or a related field.
  • Age not more than 35 years (until June 30 of the year the fellowship begins).
  • Willing to move to Washington, DC for the duration of the fellowship.

Ireland Government Scholarship

The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship Program (GOI-IES) supports outstanding international students who wish to study at master’s or PhD level in Ireland. This program is funded by the Irish Government in collaboration with Irish higher education institutions and administered by the Higher Education Authority. Every year, there are 60 international students who are entitled to receive this scholarship.

Cost coverage:

  • A living allowance of €10,000 for one year of full-time study at master’s or PhD level.
  • Full tuition fee waiver to scholarship recipients during their scholarship year.
  • Successful scholarship recipients are expected to begin their studies in September or October 2024.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants must come from outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland/UK.
  • Candidates must apply for admission to a relevant master’s or PhD program offered by an eligible higher education institution in accordance with that institution’s admission procedures.
  •  Applicants must have a conditional or final offer of admission to the institution of higher education at the time of application and will be asked to submit a copy of that offer of admission.
  • The offer letter must confirm that the student is being offered a place on the full-time program as a fee-paying international student.

Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS)

The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) Scholarship Program was launched by the Government of Canada in 2008 with the aim of strengthening Canada’s ability to attract and retain high-achieving doctoral students, making Canada a global center of excellence in research and higher education. This scholarship, which reaches up to 166 recipients annually and with a maximum of 500 active scholarships at any time.

Scholarship Coverage:

  1. Value: $50,000 per year
  2. Duration: 3 years (non-extendable)
  3. Distribution: Evenly among three grant-making federal agencies: Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), and Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)
