1. Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP)

LPDP Scholarship Requirements

  • Indonesian citizens, who have completed studies at Diploma 4 (D4) or Strata 1 (S1) level for Masters scholarship applicants, and graduated from Masters for Doctoral scholarship applicants.
  • Have an achievement index of 3.00 (4.00 scale for Master’s program applicants) or 3.25 (4.00 scale for Doctoral program applicants)
  • Maximum age of 35 years for Masters program applicants, or maximum 40 years for Doctoral program applicants.
  • Applicants for overseas master’s programs must have a minimum score of TOEFL iBT® 80, PTE Academic 58, or IELTS™ 6.5. Meanwhile, applicants for overseas doctoral programs must have a TOEFL iBT® score of 94, PTE Academic 65 or IELTS™ 7.0.

3. Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS)

AAS is a scholarship program provided by the Australian government to international students from various countries, one of which is Indonesia. This scholarship aims to help talents from Indonesia to study and conduct research that can be useful for the progress of Indonesia and Australia. Currently there are more than 13,000 AAS alumni from Indonesia who are active in various industries, both at national and global levels.

 

AAS scholarships apply to master’s, doctoral, split-site study programs and even short course programs at universities in Australia. This scholarship is one of the most prestigious scholarships and is the main target for prospective international students who plan to study in Australia.

 

Currently, the Australian government has determined that there are three priority fields of study for scholarships. These three areas include health security , stability and economic recovery . Scholarship applicants are expected to apply for majors that are in line with these three priority areas.

  • ​Have graduated and obtained a degree at a previous level of education. For the PhD program, it is recommended to graduate from a master’s program with a curriculum that has a research weight of at least 25 percent.
  • For PhD program applicants, it is recommended to attach evidence showing that there has been communication with prospective promoters at the destination university. 
  • For Doctoral (PhD) program applicants, it is recommended that they have completed a Master’s program with a research component of at least 25%.
