The PS4 provides us with the best gaming experience and should be properly cared for and maintained. For the best and most optimal performance of our PS4 console,

we should take the time to thoroughly clean it of dirt to keep it in top condition. If you PS4 Is also  noise overheating and making noise when playing games with your console then a thorough clean would be the perfect solution here.

When I say cleaning, I mean cleaning every component of the PS4 console, from the console itself to the controller, wire cables, and all other components. So, in order to get the most out of our PS4 system, I’ve taken the effort to provide a detailed guide on how to clean it.

I can tell you that if you follow these instructions exactly as written, you will be able to get the best performance out of your PS4.

Also, set aside time to clean your console at least once every three months to ensure that it remains in fine working order. So, if you’ve come to learn how to clean your PlayStation 4, let’s get started.

What you need to clean your PS4

You’ll need a few items to clean your PS4 console correctly and restore it to its optimum functioning state.

A microfiber cloth, isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), cotton swabs, and a toothbrush are all required. The rubbing alcohol will help remove any grime or grease from the game disks,

while the microfiber cloth will clean the console and controllers. The cotton swabs are great for cleaning hard-to-reach spots, such as between the buttons on the controllers, and the toothbrush can get into the console’s crevices.

cleaning the exterior of  your PS4 Console ( outside)

Cleaning your PS4 on a regular basis is essential for optimal performance and game enjoyment.

But, before we get started, I should point out that dismantling your PS4 to clean the internal components automatically violates your console’s warranty,

so if you’re looking to lose your PS4 console because of overheating issues,  I recommend returning it to Sony while it’s still under warranty.

However, if you still want to go ahead with opening and cleaning the internal components, then here is how to clean your PS4.
To clean your PS4 console, follow these

step 1: To avoid any issues with electrical shock while cleaning your controller, unplug your PS4 and remove the power cord from the rear, as well as any other cable connections related to your PS4 console.

Step 2: Next, get a can of compressed air and shoot it squarely at the PS4 console’s front and rear. Spray the front and back ports, as well as the fan vents, and make sure the air bust is aimed in the appropriate spots. Also, make sure your can is upright to avoid air moisture getting into the wrong portion of the console.

3. Using a microfiber cloth, clean the entire surface of the PS4 console. This is to get rid of any dust or dirt that has accumulated on your console.

Make sure to explore every corner and cranny! It’s also a good idea to clean your console’s sitting position. Because this location may be a source of dust and debris that could harm your PS4 system,

Step 4: Once the console has been cleaned, allow it to dry for a few minutes before reconnecting the power cord and other cords. Now connect your PS4 to the TV. Run it through a few times to ensure everything is in working order.

Note
This method for cleaning your PS4 console described above is quite effective and requires little or no technical understanding of consoles. Essentially, anyone can use the method outlined above to get the most out of their console. Clean

Cleaning the interiors ( inside) of your PS4 console.

Cleaning the inside of your PS4 console is far more beneficial than cleaning the outside, especially if you’re having problems with overheating and noise.

So, in order to resolve the overheating issue, you may need to open your PS4 console. As I previously stated, opening your PS4 console automatically voids its warranty, so if you’re okay with that, let’s get started.

However, be cautious to avoid destroying any internal components and, as a result, your console as a whole. So let’s get started.

1: Unplug your PS4 and take the power cord out of the back.

2 . Use a microfiber cloth to wipe down the console and its controllers. Be sure to get into all the nooks and crannies!

3. For the external fans, use a can of compressed air to blow out any dust or dirt.

4, Make sure you can see well in the next phase, and if you can’t, move to a location with good lighting.

5. If you’re cleaning your PS4 for the first time and have an original model, you’ll need to remove the warranty stickers from the back, not least because you’ll need to remove the screws behind them. If the product is still under warranty, you should contact customer support instead of cleaning the insides yourself.

step 6. If you have an original PS4, four screws should be visible beneath the warranty labels on the back of the console.

To remove the outer cover, unscrew it with a T8 or T9 Torx screwdriver. There is only one sticker and one screw on the later original PS4. There are no screws on the PS4 Slim or PS4 Pro.

Step 7. If you have one of the original PlayStation 4 consoles, you’ll need to turn it upside down and place it on its top.

By moving the corners and edges away from the console, you should be able to remove the base.

This may take some effort, but don’t force it.
Keep the console upright and gently slide off the outer case from the front of the console for the PS4 Slim and PS4 Slim.

step 8. Wipe any dust from the inside of the case with your microfiber cloth before putting it away.

step 9. If you have a PS4 with a later model, you should now see a large metal plate on the top. If you have an original console,

the base will be made up of a mixture of plastic case and power supply, with the fan visible.

step 10. Gently press your finger against the center of the fan to keep it in place, then spray the fan with compressed air in a couple of short bursts to dislodge dust. It’s critical to keep the fan in place during this procedure, as forcing it to spin can cause hardware damage.

step 11. For the PS4 Slim and Pro, remove the plastic case covering the metal plate at the back of the console with a Phillips screwdriver.

The smaller metal plate should now be visible. Use your T8 or T9 screwdriver to remove this as well.

step 12. At this point, you should be looking at the entire metal plate, which should cover the majority of the surface. Remove the screws that keep it in place and carefully remove it.

Step 13. To completely access the internals of the original PS4 console, you’ll need to remove the power supply cord.

Simply remove the five screws (on the later version, they’re in a little different location), carefully lift it out, and set it aside, taking care not to disconnect the power cord.

Step 14. You should now be able to see the inside of your fan and the entire internals, regardless of the console you have.

Use compressed air to spray dust away from the components in brief bursts, but make sure to temporarily lodge something in the fan, such as a cotton swab, to keep it from spinning.

Attempt to blow dust up and out of the fan and components with the air. It’s also a good idea to aim for the heatsink (just take your time and keep an eye out for the grill).

Step 15. Allow an hour for the console to dry before reassembling it.
Finally, now that you’ve thoroughly cleaned your PS4 system, it should run much more smoothly and quietly. Simply follow the steps below to clean your PS4 console and restore it back to its best functioning condition.
